I live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, surrounded by the natural wonders of mountains, streams and lush green valleys. I’ve explored much of it with my husband, sons and their wives, and grandchildren. I’m a teacher.  I’ve been teaching and researching biblical context for more than 30 years.  Two thousand years after the birth of Christ theories and opinions thrive disconnected from the context of the original audience. Biblical stories are wisdom distilled, the essence of truth. Therefore, we should carefully consider them in their context. So what did the ancient hearers know and understand? This website is my way of coalescing and communicating the historical context of Christianity.  My posts are concise and easy to grasp with sources faithfully noted.  Embrace your curiosity, adjust your compass, and enjoy the journey.
